FAQs

I've purchased a printable design, what stock would you recommend?
Event stationery looks best on a heavier stock.
I would recommend anything over 300gsm. Depending on your taste, gloss or satin both work well. Personally we love a matte finish. Just make sure that if your design has a photo textured papers don't work so well.

For our American friends, make a note: weights are measured in pounds. We recommend anything over 100 lb and choose cover (cover is heavier than text) over text.

I like your style but isn't exactly what I'm after.
We create custom designs. Just drop us a line and we can work on it from there.

What is your turnaround time?
Depending on workload I usually send a proof within 48 hours. Once you receive the proof you will need to check all information is correct.

I'm printing one of your files from home. How do I fit more on a page?
Step One - Open the pdf document with Adobe Reader. If you don’t have this already, you can get the free download and install on your computer. You can find the link here: get.adobe.com/reader.

Step Two - Go to 'File' in the menu.

Step Three - Click the 'Multiple' button under 'Page Sizing & Handling' and enter the number you would like to print on each page.

Note: Be careful not to enter too high of a number as the design will be scaled down.

Can I change the font in a design?
Unfortunately not. Hudson Meet Rose chooses particular fonts to suit each design.

Can I change the size of a design?
Absolutely. For a small additional fee we are able to change the size of the design.

Am I able to see a printed proof of my design?
Unfortunately not. At this stage we only offer digital files. The good news about doing it this way is there are no shipping fees and you don't have to pay a designer to create a design from scratch.
